My Story

I'm Samantha Cook, and I didn't start in a corner office.

I started as a security guard at Amazon—and climbed my way into corporate roles through strategy and self-advocacy.


Over 10+ years as a Senior Program Manager at Amazon/AWS and Microsoft, I led talent development initiatives and designed learning management system training for thousands of employees. I learned how successful companies operate, what hiring managers actually look for, and how to navigate the dynamics that determine who advance and who gets left behind.


I'm a University of Washington Communications Leadership graduate, recognized as one of Influence Digest's Top 15 Career Coaches in Seattle (2025), and a contracted career coach and workshop facilitator for University of Washington Communication Leadership graduate students.


In 2025, I launched Inside the Cubicle to help professionals across the Seattle-Tacoma area learn the same strategies I used to climb from security guard to Senior PM—and to give people the clarity, confidence, and tools they need to control their own career trajectories.


I know what it feels like to wonder if you're doing enough, to navigate corporate politics, and to fight for what you're worth. And I know how to turn that uncertainty into a strategic plan that moves you forward.
